After nine months, Milei’s administration has reduced inflation and balanced the budget, but this has come at the cost of a significant recession.
While there are promising prospects, the present remains challenging. Inflation is still high, Argentina’s macroeconomic imbalances and capital controls are still in place, and overall, the institutional framework remains weak.
A new law has introduced reforms, including a tax amnesty and incentives for foreign investments. For now, Milei enjoys strong support, but it is unclear how long this will last, especially if the recession persists.
