Dr. Marios P. Efthymiopoulos, CEO of Strategy International delivered a speech at the 3rd Global South Think Tank Dialogue in China, titled “Strengthen North–South Dialogue for Win-Win Cooperation”.
At the Third Global South Think Tank Dialogue in China, discussions focused on strengthening North–South cooperation to address global development challenges. The Global South now accounts for 54% of the world’s population and 41% of global GDP (PPP). China’s major initiatives—the GDI, GSI and GCI—have delivered 470 training programs, 70+ development projects, and more than 10,000 trained professionals across 70+ countries.
Key proposals include a 4+4 North–South coordination mechanism, expanding joint project-preparation hubs, a Debt & Climate Cooperation Facility, and a Global South–North Young Leaders Program.
Strategy International formally expressed its readiness to join and endorse the new “Alliance, Dialogue and Solutions.”
