Description:

On our next web series episode of “Prime Analysis,” we welcome Mr. Dmitry Gudgov. A Russian Politician and opposition leader. Leading member of the Union against the War in Ukraine. This web-series episode is unique. It is a particular discussion. It comes in the aftermath of the death-killing of Alexey Navalny, the prominent opposition leader in the Russian Federation, and two years after the unlawful attack of Russia to Ukraine. This episode is about the experiences of a well-versed professional and a politician who lives in exile from Russia. A person who is still being prosecuted by Russia within also 2024. This episode is a truly independent discussion with a politician who wishes change for Russia and, through this, an end to war, which should have never taken place. This is a discussion that showcases the continuity of Russian opposition. Gudgov Dmitry, 44, talks about his life, records, life experience, and constant prosecution and analyses the ‘why’. The discussion takes place at a very important time in 2024. Of yet another electoral process coming up in Russia, two years on, on an ongoing war in Ukraine. Gudkov projects events of historical value within and outside Russia, leading our discussion to the current state of affairs. Taking sides against the war. Discussing Russia, Ukraine and the events as progressively took place and what is expected to take place. Showcasing, among others, the importance of developing a democratic society with a rule of law, which defines the need for constant reforms. We also discuss possible events coming up, starting with the upcoming Russian Elections to European approaches to Russia and ways for countering challenges and threats, and how and if war can end.

Bio

Dmitry Gennadyevich Gudkov in Russian: Дмитрий Геннадьевич Гудков; born 19 January 1980)  is a Russian politician and opposition leader. He was elected as a member of the State Duma in 2011–2016. His father, Gennady Gudgov, was also a Duma deputy in 2001–2012. Both father and son were members of the party A Just Russia  Gudkov was expelled from the party on 13 March 2013 after it accused him of “calling on the American authorities to interfere in Russia’s internal affairs”. Meanwhile, Gudkov ran as the candidate of the Yabloko party.  He worked with the non-systemic opposition, which he lost in the 18 September 2016 election for the Russian Parliament. In 2018, he and Ksenia Sobchak decided to align together, which lead to the creation of an opposition political party which is called Party of Change.
