Supreme Edwin Kodzo Asare
Bio Supreme Edwin Kodzo Asare is a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) consultant with over twelve years of experience supporting programmes across Africa, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific. His work focuses on designing theory-informed and participatory evaluations that strengthen learning, adaptation, and decision-making within complex development settings.
He has led or contributed to evaluations and learning initiatives for organisations such as the CGIAR Independent Advisory and Evaluation Service (IAES), the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Pencils of Promise, GIZ, and Invest in Africa. His assignments have covered a wide range of sectors, including education, migration, agriculture, private sector development, financial inclusion, and green growth.
Supreme’s work combines both quantitative and qualitative methods to examine programme results and inform improvement strategies. He has developed and managed monitoring systems, facilitated evaluation capacity strengthening, and led data-driven learning engagements for diverse partners. He is skilled in the use of tools such as Power BI, Tableau, NVivo, SPSS, and STATA for data analysis and visualisation.
In addition to his consulting work, Supreme writes AI Made in Africa, a newsletter that documents and analyses artificial intelligence innovations emerging from across the continent. Through this platform, he explores how technology, policy, and local knowledge intersect to shape inclusive and forward-looking development practices. Supreme holds a Master of Science degree in Development Management from the University for Development Studies, with a major in Development Impact Assessment, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has also completed professional certificates in Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Evaluation of Development Policies, and MEAL DPro.
He is particularly interested in evidence use, participatory learning systems, and the role of technology in strengthening development effectiveness. Supreme works mainly on remote assignments with international and regional partners and continues to contribute to evaluation knowledge through practice, writing, and mentorship.
