Maria Spyridonos

Maria Spyridonos is a lifelong learner and an experienced teacher with over 25 years of teaching across various settings in Europe (Cyprus, Greece, Belgium, UK). She has held leadership roles, including headship of the Hellenic School of Bristol, and has taught a wide range of subjects, specializing in language instruction and SEN. Maria holds a BA and an MA in Education, as well as a BA in EU studies. Maria's teaching journey alongside her studies provides her with a comprehensive understanding of educational theory and practice, as well as the broader European context. From March 2020 to the end of February 2021, Maria was a Blue Book trainee in DG EAC, Unit C4- Digital Education where she contributed to administrative tasks, supporting the work of the unit and the implementation of the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, the main European strategy in digital education. She is a LEAD Fellow and an active member of the ECA (European Citizens' Association).
