Dr Bassim has a PhD in Economics (2010) and a Master’s degree (2002) from Ain Shams University, Egypt. She has been a lecturer at the University of Buckingham since 2013, teaching Econometrics and Development economics. She has long experience in teaching and training in the UK, continental Europe, and Egypt.
She has ten years of experience in banking and credit analysis at National Société Generale and gained graduate professional and diplomas in Banking Credit Analysis and Financial Analysis and professional econometrics training from the UK.
She joined the Institute of International Monetary Research in 2015.
